|Noerr Begins Selecting Santas for Christmas Season|

Denver, Colo.—Christmas begins in June at the Noerr Pole in a small town west of Denver. An employee of The Noerr Programs Corporation is already reviewing lists and interviewing candidates for perhaps one of the most high profile positions in the world—Santa Claus.
The enviable job of heading up the Santa Recruiting Campaign and discovering not just one but scores of perfect Santas to listen to children this holiday season belongs to Becky Anderson, Santa Central Manager. She is assisted by other Noerr employees who spot likely looking Santas in malls and restaurants and hand them special business-sized cards that provide a Santa jobline phone number and say, “You Look Like Santa!”
This is the twentieth year Noerr Programs has searched for Santas and hired them for holiday appearances at 165 malls in 37 states. Noerr Programs has been developing relationships with Santas across the country for more than two decades, and currently has more than 600 Santas in its database.
“Noerr Programs works year-round to provide our clients digital event imaging services. At Christmas time, that means that we create magical experiences with Santa Claus and take high quality photos of children talking to their favorite friend. At other times of year, we take special photos at events that range from movie premiers, corporate events and bunnies at Easter to youth sports, the Olympics, Special Olympics and the Democratic National Convention. The heart of our business is still Santa and capturing memories for the families who come to see us,” said Judy Noerr, president of the Colorado-based company.
“Choosing the right Santa is incredibly important to the entire experience we create for our guests. All Noerr Santas are genuinely interested in providing special experiences for children at Christmas time. We do reference and background checks. In September we will put them all through a special Santa School at the Noerr Pole, our corporate headquarters. We even give our Santas’ beards a little tug in order to make sure our Christmas Santas have their own long, fluffy white beards in order to be authenic as possible,” she said.
According to Judy, Santa duties this year start at the very beginning of November. On that day Santas take their places in big chairs on colorful sets in malls across America, listening to children’s wish lists and posing for portraits taken by Noerr photo professionals. Parents get the opportunity to buy photos or merchandise with their children’s pictures.
According to Berk Wright, Corporate Sales Manager, parents stay in touch with Noerr Programs all year round, anticipating their children’s next Santa visit and requesting information, coupons and merchandise.
“We receive requests and compliments from visitors who call our Noerr Consumer Information Center and our consumer feedback website, www.NoerrCares.com,” Wright said.
“One mother told us she cherished her children’s visits every year to Santa. Last year she told us her son wanted a Thomas the Tank Engine, but her little girl didn’t know what to ask for. The mother chimed in, ‘all we want for Christmas is for her to be healthy’ because her daughter was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder. She said that Santa didn’t say anything, he just wrapped his arms around her and rocked her back and forth. It brought tears to everyone’s eyes because Santa was so caring. These are the moments all of us at Noerr cherish because we know we create special moments for families,” Wright said.
In many of the malls served by Noerr, not only do children get their pictures taken with Santa, but so do pets large and small. Puppies, cats, lizards and even horses have shown up for their own time with Santa, happily captured in photos by Noerr staff at Noerr Pet Nights with Santa™.
In addition to hundreds of Santas employed every year, Noerr Programs also hires 26 regional managers, 165 set managers and 2,000 “cast members” to provide support for the visitors’ photo experience during the holiday season. Noerr estimates that their employees serve more than 3.5 million family members every year at 165 malls in 37 states.
