Denver, Colo.—Jeff Burton has been promoted to director of Information Technology at The Noerr Programs Corporation, a digital event imaging company headquartered in Arvada. Burton manages software development, technical innovation, implementation and support of information technology in the 37 states in which The Noerr Programs does business.

Hired by Noerr in 2005, Burton has advanced Noerr’s photo service system that produces more than 3.5 million photos each year for customers who visit Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny at 167 malls across the nation during the holidays. Through the specialized technology and high speed digital printers, families are able to pose for photographs with their favorite character, see them and purchase them on the spot.

Burton, who holds a bachelor’s degree in computer graphics from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, has more than 25 years of experience in senior engineering management. He manages a full-time staff of four at The Noerr Programs headquarters as well the quality output of 165 set managers and 2,000 seasonal people who take photos of children with Santa at Christmas time. His responsibilities include creating web applications and IT structures for each photo center in the malls, creating effective web applications for speed and quality of output and overseeing technical support for 400 color printers and photo event systems.

During the holiday season, Burton remotely manages operations across five time zones, from Puerto Rico to Anchorage.

“I like the challenges associated with the mission critical nature of our business. During the holiday season, all of our sets and equipment needs to be up and running all the time the malls are open for business. The systems themselves need to be foolproof and the quality of our photos need to be the best,” said Burton.

In addition to the photo systems, Burton oversees the point of sale terminals, allowing The Noerr Programs to track sales of merchandise and photos at each location. Currently, he is working on a large scale system known as Enterprise Resource Planning that integrates all key groups within the company under one umbrella, including sales, marketing, accounting, inventory and Human Resources. The comprehensive system will allow all employees to be able access the information they need in real time in order to effectively adjust to the changing marketplace.

For more than 20 years Noerr has been providing magical experiences and memorable photos for families. For Noerr job opportunities across the U.S. and a list of mall locations served at Christmas time by The Noerr Programs, see www.NoerrPrograms.com.
